An amazing day the 26th of January or at least it was for Matthew Gardner of Morley and Dylan England of Rothwell and those who came to support them. Both students of Kickboxing they took to the mats to attempt to gain promotion to 2nd Dan. Hours of gruelling effort followed as the panel put them through their paces culminating on the leg destroying walk of pain. Both candidates found the will to succeed and made it through to receive their well-earned promotions. Congratulations both!
The 27th January saw the Karate candidates hit the mats. Danial Green of Thornhill, David and Megan Churcher of Wakefield and Scott D’Cruze of Normanton were each able to display the technical skill, fitness and knowledge to gain promotion to 1st Dan whilst Jeevan Ganatra of Wakefield went on to show what only years of training can achieve and was successful in achieving promotion to 2nd Dan.
As usual there was sweat, determination and at the end tears of joy and relief but everyone made their families and their instructors proud. Well done everyone!
