Saturday 19th of May was hot, very hot for our little island. Nevertheless, the kickboxers of Chuldow Martial Arts came together at Chuldow HQ to be put through their paces with hopes of promotion and no less than ten of those kickboxers were aiming for black belt or higher. As always, the grading was tough, no quarter given for the heat but the sweat and effort were rewarded and the standard of skill, sheer determination and all round positivity were exceptional.

Kickboxing Black Belts

Oliver Hardcastle (Rothwell), Thomas Jagger (Morley), Abeel Mahmood (Wakefield) and Ismail Pervez (Wakefield) were each successful in gaining 1st Dan Cadet, Chris Middleton (Wakefield), Lisa Ashton (Knottingley), Stuart Huntington (Castleford) and Emma Huntington (Castleford) each achieved 1st Dan whilst Janine & Rob Lafferty (Knottingley) reached the exceptionally rare rank of 3rd Dan! Well done all!

Kickboxing Black Belts

As always, the Karateka had their turn on Sunday, forgoing a lie in for a tough test of skill, knowledge and effort. The weather certainly did not let up and neither did the graduation panel but having given their all four new Karate Black Belts joined the ranks of Chuldow.

Karate Black Belts

Ashley Banks (Knottingley), Alfie Pickersgill (Knottingley) and Tea Ottley (Morley) each achieved 1st Dan (Cadet) and Caroline Sanderson (Wakefield) achieved 1st Dan. Congratulations to each of you!
