Saturday 17th was a fine day, a little chilly but nothing compared to what was to come that evening. For four individuals though there was more to worry about than the impending return of the Beast from The East, Olivia and Chris Brady of Rothwell and Olivia Saville of Normanton were all set to attempt their 1st Dan Black Belt Graduation in Kickboxing whilst Connor Ashton of Knottingley was seeking promotion to 2nd Dan Black Belt. Needless to say the hours flew by with equal measures of technical excellence and sheer determination getting each of them through to the end and ultimately to success. Congratulations to the newest Chuldow Black Belts and Advanced Dan in Kickboxing.

Sunday was Karate Graduations of course and whilst the weather may have decided white was the colour of the day those attending Chuldow were only interested in gaining their black belts. Despite the added difficulty of travelling in the snowy conditions twelve potential Karate Black Belts were on the mats showing their skills. Jayden Tang and Lee Allsop of Normanton, Joe Gordon, Kathryn Clapham, Damien Dean and Brandonlee Sowerby of Knottingley, Holly-Mae Leigh, Joseph Lindley, Phoebe Wood, Oscar Pickard and Theo Georgiou of Wakefield and Elliott Findlay of Rothwell each represented themselves and their Academies well and after a trying graduation were rewarded with promotion to 1st Dan Black Belt in Karate.

A big well done to all!
