Chuldow Black Belt Graduations May 2021

Black Belts Jun 2021

On Saturday 22nd May we held our kickboxing graduations, at Chuldow Martial Arts HQ, Wakefield. This included graduations for both junior and adult students, who were able to celebrate their achievements together, for the first time in over a year.

Firstly 3 cadet students took to the mats to work immensely hard for their 1st Dan black belt. Aidan Huntington, Oliver Gowland and Ryan Dinu, worked hard during their gruelling 2-hour graduation and completed everything asked of them to the highest standard. All 3 of them have proven how hard work and determination can take a junior kickboxer through to being a black belt. Accompanying the cadet black belts, we have 1 senior student, Ewan Hewett.  Along with the boys, Ewan complete an intense 2-hour graduation, sharing not only his Martial Arts achievements but personal growth with us on the mats too.

Sunday 23rd May, saw our Karate students take to the mats for their black belt and advance dan graduations. Achieving their first dan black belt were the following students: Ian Anderson, Simon Barker, Flynn Barnaby, Paige Goward, Sue Mcllwaine, Bhargav Myneni, Julie Nichols, Andrew Queen and Ruth Vallins.  Following them and achieving their 2nd dan and 3rd dan grades were: Nasreen Arshad, Philip Stevens, Nigel Watts and Chris Woodhead.

It was a fantastic weekend of celebrating new achievements and progression, each and every student should be incredibly proud of themselves.

Mr Kelly Gets 4th Dan in Kickboxing

Jon Kelly 4th DanBIG CONGRATULATIONS to Mr Kelly from @ChuldowTadcaster for being awarded his 4th Dan Kickboxing. Mr Kelly was due to take his Advanced Dan earlier this year.  We were honoured to award him yesterday for his time served as a great instructor first and foremost, but also for continuing with his dedication to his own training and advancement. Mr Kelly will be undertaking the Black Belt Graduation in 2021, but deserves the recognition of his time spent and commitment now.
